📚 Educational and Professional Journey
Born in McAllen and raised in Hebbronville, Texas, Jessica established a strong foundation for academic excellence, graduating as the Salutatorian of her high school class. Her initial university path led her to Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi (TAMUCC), where she graduated Cum Laude in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Public Relations.
However, a strong desire to be more directly involved in patient care guided her career trajectory toward medicine. She successfully completed an Associate of Applied Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography from Del Mar College in 2015. This qualification led her to work for many years within the Spohn System as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) and Sonographer (RDMS), honing her skills in diagnostic imaging.
Driven by a continuous pursuit of knowledge and expanded patient care capabilities, Jessica returned to her alma mater, TAMUCC, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), once again graduating Cum Laude. She then immediately pursued a Master of Science degree to become a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP).
Jessica is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Her credentials, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, RDMS, RVT, reflect her comprehensive expertise spanning advanced nursing practice, diagnostic sonography, and vascular technology. She is also a proud member of Coastal Bend Advanced Practice Nurses (APN).
