Knee Injection

Knee Injection

Knee injections are a common and effective treatment for managing persistent pain, swelling, and stiffness caused by conditions like osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, or bursitis. These injections typically deliver a corticosteroid to rapidly reduce inflammation and fluid buildup, or hyaluronic acid—often called “viscosupplementation”—to provide a lubricating cushion within the joint. Performed in a clinical setting, often with the aid of ultrasound for pinpoint accuracy, the procedure aims to provide direct relief where oral medications might fall short. By calming the inflammatory response, knee injections can significantly improve mobility and help patients return to their daily activities with much greater comfort.

General Ask

Does the clinic accept my insurance?

To accurately verify your coverage and determine the support we can offer through your insurance, give us a call and provide us with the following:

Your full name and date of birth

The name of your insurance company

Your member ID (usually found on your insurance card)

Once we have this information, our support team can verify your benefits and let you know what kind of support is available.

Do you take walk-ins?

Unfortunately, we cannot accept walk-in appointments at this time. This is primarily because most insurance plans require a formal referral from your Primary Care Provider (PCP) for a specialist visit, like ours.

The Referral Process: Without a current, valid referral on file, your insurance company will likely deny coverage for the visit. We must have that referral documentation before your appointment is scheduled to ensure your visit is covered.

What to do next: Please call your PCP and request they send a referral to our clinic first. Once we receive and process the referral, we will contact you immediately to schedule your appointment.

Corpus Christi Pain Medicine (CCPM) is a specialized interventional pain management practice dedicated to helping patients find relief from chronic and acute pain through minimally invasive procedures.
