Spinal Cord Stimulator Trial
A Spinal Cord Stimulator (SCS) trial is essentially a “test drive” for pain relief, lasting anywhere from five to seven days to determine if the technology is effective for your specific chronic pain. During this minimally invasive procedure, a physician uses a needle to temporarily place thin wires (leads) into the epidural space near your spine. These leads are connected to an external battery pack worn on a belt, which sends mild electrical pulses to the spinal cord to mask pain signals before they reach the brain. The primary goal is to see if you experience at least a 50% reduction in pain and an improvement in daily function. If the trial is successful and you’re happy with the results, the temporary leads are removed, and you can move forward with a permanent surgical implant.

Video Presentation
If you’ve been living with chronic pain, the idea of a “test drive” for relief might sound too good to be true. A Spinal Cord Stimulator (SCS) Trial is exactly that—a short-term, reversible opportunity to see if advanced neuromodulation technology can help you reclaim your quality of life.
